Election Called
In an announcement to the House of Commons on the 24th of August, 2022, His Imperial Majesty the Emperor delivered a short speech. " As per the power invested in me as the Emperor and Monarch of the people of the Empire of Lurdentania, I do hereby inform the House that a national election to elect a new term of members and senators shall take place on the 9th of September. Registrations of candidates shall take place on the 26th and shall end on the 2nd of September." Immediately, the party machines went to work. The approval rating of the Equity Party has been reduced, with recieving 38% in the previous senatorial election and expected to score even lower this election, with polling suggesting as low as 29%. With this decrease comes the emergence of another Centrist party, notably the National Democratic Party who successfully elected their party president, Lieutenant Martin E. to the senate. This time, we can expect a number of new candidates to contest hot seats, like t
